In 1987, Steve’s Copy & Blueprint first opened its doors on Girard Street in the Fountain District of Bellingham, Washington. Steve’s originally provided reprographics and copy services and personally spent many long nights fulfilling customer orders and providing “on demand” services before it was an industry standard. In 1990, Steve’s moved its operations to Dupont Street in Bellingham, where Steve focused on the photocopy market. In 1992 Steve’s purchased its first DocuTech, and in 1994 Steve’s equaled and surpassed the copy production of its closest competitor, making it the leader in reprographics market.
In 1994 Steve’s made further advancements in its technology. Creating a computer graphics department to produce large format full color signage and short run full color digital images. Further investment in technology came in 1996 when Steve’s purchased a second DocuTech, one with the ability to download files directly. These investments made Steve’s competitive on a regional level and put it many steps beyond other local firms.
In February of 2000 Steve’s Copy & Blueprint, Inc. announced it would change its name to Applied Digital Imaging -- “The company has grown from a small, hometown, family owned business into a full scale production facility”, said owner and CEO Steve Edquist.
As the owners of Applied Digital Imaging, Steve and Donna Edquist continue to run the company with a commitment to quality, cost effectiveness and customer service.
